Substance
geget The Journal of the Egyptian Society of Pediatric Nephrology and Transplantation publishes original clinical research related to kidney disease in children at large.
There currently will be biannual issues that contain Editorial Commentaries, Reviews, Educational Reviews, Original Articles, Brief Reports, Rapid Communications, Clinical Quizzes, and Letters to the Editors.
Submission

- The site will build the PDF version for the article upon final submission from authors.
Conditions
- The journal will not publish articles which have been previously reported at any length or articles being considered for publishing elsewhere.
- The authors must include along with their articles a written statement to this effect.
- Submission of an article for publication implies the transfer of the copyright from the author to the publisher which is geget the Journal of the Egyptian Society of Pediatric Nephrology and Transplantation upon acceptance.
- It is the author’s responsibility to obtain permission to reproduce illustrations, table, etc. from other publications.
The soft copy should be formatted using Word *.doc be written in English and the editorial board reserves the right to make the appropriate correction in grammar and style. As specified, accepted papers become the permanent property of geget the Journal of the Egyptian Society of Pediatric Nephrology and Transplantation, and may not be reproduced by any means, in whole or in part, without the explicit written consent of the publisher.
Arrangement
- Title page ( Mandatory ):
The first page of each paper should indicate the title (main title underlined), the authors’ names, and affiliations, also the institute where the work was conducted. The email address and full postal address of the author to whom correspondence should be referred to, are also required.
- However, the following items: the statement, Acknowledgments, Funding, and Conflict of interest, must be submitted entirely separate from the body of work.
- Key words: for indexing purposes, a list of 3-8 key words in English is essential.
- Abstract: Each paper needs an abstract of up to 250 words. It should be organized as follows:
- Background/Aims: What is the major problem that prompted the study?
- Methods: How was the study done?
- Results: Most important findings?
- Conclusions: Most important conclusions?
- Footnotes: Avoid foot notes. When essential, they are numbered consecutively and type at the foot of the appropriate page.
Small type: paragraphs which can or must be set in a smaller type (case histories, test methods, etc.) should be indicated with a ‘p” (petit) in margin on the left-hand side using a margin line.
- Body of Work
After ‘Conclusion’, at the term of the article, please add ‘Proposed possible application’.

Text should be typed double-spaced, “Word” using 12 point Times New Roman font, with outer margins 2.5 cm with 1 inch margins all around.
- Tables and illustrations:
Tables and illustrations (both numbered in Arabic numerals) should be prepared on separate sheets (views) at the end of the manuscript.
- For the reproduction of illustrations, only good drawings and original photographs can be accepted; negatives of photocopies cannot be used.
- When possible, group several illustrations on one block for reproduction (max. size 181 x 223mm) or provide crop marks.
- At the bottom of each illustration, indicate its number, the author’s name referring to exactly where it belongs.
- Color or B&W illustrations: to be integrated with the text, use only minimum resolution 150-200dpi.
- References:
In the text identify references by Arabic numerals [in square brackets]. Material submitted for publication but not yet accepted, should be noted as ‘unpublished data’ and not be included in the reference list. The list of references should include only those publications which are cited in the text.
Do not alphabetize; number references in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text. The surnames of the authors followed by initials should be given. There should be no punctuation other than a comma to separate the authors. Cite all authors, ’et al’ is not sufficient. Abbreviate journal names according to the Index Medicus system. Galley proofs
Unless indicated otherwise, soft copy galley proofs are sent back to the first named author and should be returned with the least possible delay. Alterations made in galley proofs, other than the correction of printer’s errors may not be inevitably accepted. They are susceptible to the editor-in-chief appraisal.
Reprints (hard copy manuscripts only) Order forms and price list are defined by the editorial board. Orders submitted after the issue is released are subject to considerable prices.
